I sat in the Ranger when i was shopping and wouldn't even take a test drive. Cramped, dated interior.

I like the looks of the Sports Trac but I couldn't get comfortable in them either. The leg room for the diver is narrow. It drives nice, but at 30K+ but the Frontier is a much better value.

Hell yeah!!! We are now better than everyone. And I would have bought a Ford had I not bought a Frontier. The Ranger lacks in comfort but it is guaranteed to take you beyond 300,000 miles with minimum problems. We have 4 Ford Rangers with the company I work for that have over 400,000 on the clock.

The Colorado is supposedly even crappier.
The truck is beyond crap and I think they may have given it too much credit. The two we have in our family the owners hate 'em.

That's weird the tacoma or colorado isnt on there..

I personally really like the colorado and tacoma. Girlfriend and her mother has an 07 and 08 and I've driven both of them off road and long distances. Comfy, capable, dang tough, wouldnt rate it too much under my own truck.

I'd take the tacoma over colorado any day but I do love my frontier over the both of them. The ranger is out dated and nothing super great about it at all.
I have a couple neighbors that have rangers and I personally watch them beat the PISS out of them rangers out on their farms and on their drunken weekends ... wow, they take a beating though i must say.

While I am glad to see that the Frontier is #1, the Ranger being rated #2 gives me about 0 confidence in the JD Power awards. I just built a Ranger and it was pretty sorry. To each his own, I suppose.
The award is for initial reliability. The awards aren't claiming what the better truck is. The Ranger, as crappy as it is, might just be more reliable out of the box than the Tacoma or others (but not than ours lol).

Looks like the Frontier only won Initial Quality.....meaning they're great for at least 90 days! the Ridgeline won the other two (Performance and Design, and Reliability)......those things are ugly!! But I guess they did something right. I love my 2010 Frontier, and I hope JD Power and Associates don't know what they are talking about!

Considering they rated the reliability just shy of "better than most", I hope they DO know what they're talking about. That's a very good rating.
