Hello all,

I've been looking for a forum about Frontiers and there owners and finally came
across this one. I have had my 2003 Nissan Frontier since new in Dec 03.
It currently has 44K miles. It has some mild upgrades but still needs more.
Thats why I'm here to learn more about what I can do and how to do it.
The truck is stock except for the following:
K&N filter w/ FIPK kit / High flow aluminum tube intake.
Gibson single side exit cat back exhaust.
American racing 15" rims w/ BFG All Terrain T/A's
Rear bed extender
Custom running lights and lightbar
OEM foglamps - Added
Kenwood 200 watt cd stereo

I look forward to meeting you all and enjoying the ride !

thanks

jake

Welcome aboard.
Lots of people on Clubfrontier here from Florida.
Your truck sounds really nice, you have any pictures of it you could post?
Welcome to the forum!

Your miles are very low. Is the truck just a weekend ride?

Clint
Clint, No I drive the truck to work everyday. I guess that is pretty low
miles for a 6 or 7 year old vehicle. I also have a 1991 Mazda Miata Roadster
I just purchased a week before xmas. It only has 112 K and is almost 20 years old. It is some cool fun to drive though. After riding around in the truck getting in the miata feels like a go kart. I will be taking some new
photos of the truck to post on the forum. So check it out within about a week or less should have some pics up by then or sooner....

I like the Miata's and saw a tv show with them shoehorning a Chevy 350 under the hood. There might even be a how to video on the net to watch. Enjoy both your rides.

I am a member of the MX5 forum at miata.net and they have a section just for v8 Miata's. The guy I bought mine from was going to do it to this one but I saved it before the chop saw came out. Yeah, It can be done and is a blast to drive a v8 powered Miata. Similar to the older Sunbeam Tiger of the 60's. with
the 289 ford motor. The real problem is all the mods that must be done
Even though the parts all available there is almost no turning back to original.
This car is unmolested and in excellent condition. At only a few more years before the antique tag kicks in. I like the car the way it is. The 4 cyl FI 5 speed is spot on reliable and many members with this model year have gone
250Kmiles or more on the original motors. This one is far removed from dead.
I paid $1800 for it and have done a few mods and detail work. It is my private project. I used to build custom choppers out of my garage back in 2003-2006.
Gas shot over $4.00 a gallon and work load went into the ditch. I sold everything I had invested in the shop and purchased an 18' VIP bowrider I/O
I traded it in Sept. of 09 for a 2000 suzuki SV 650 crotch rocket. The wife said "Not keeping it " Sold it on 12/22/2009 and purchased the Miata on 12/23/2009. She likes the car much better- It takes the corners just like the bike did. And still puts a little wind in my hair...
