Since we seemed to haved hijacked Random's E85 post with this I just though I'd start a new post!! :)

Gas here in Denver, for 85 octane (not E85) ranges from $2.06 to about $2.36 depending on where you are at. Usually I use the 87 octane which is about $0.10 higher than that.

So what is everone else payin at the pump??

Here in Indy it fluctuates between $1.99 and $2.29 depending on the day of the week! It always seems to go up on Friday for the weekend, then drop again during the week. Last week it went up to over $2.30 on Wednesday when the Power Ball jackpot was at over $360 Million and all the wanna be millionaires were spending their grocery money on lottery tickets. The Monday before it was $2.02, and it dropped back to $2.17 the following day! But the State Government here swears there's no price gouging going on, they claim the price is tied to the cost of crude! Funny thing is the price of Crude dropped on Wednesday when the prices at the pump skyrocketed!

You can always tell when a politician is lying... BECAUSE THEIR LIPS ARE MOVING!!!

Yah, I love the 7-11 by my house here in OKC. They were below $2.00 all last week. They are ALWAYS the cheapest, even more so than gas on base. As a matter of fact, This is the first place I've been where the base gas station hardly keeps up with the outside.

Try this site. Just plug in your zip code and see who in town has the cheapest.

There is also one for denver called denvergasprices.com!! I know they have these for almost all metropolitan areas, so you can just plug in you nearest city and it should work. These are gas prices witnessed by people, that post on the site, in your area so they are usually a little more current!!

In the famous Silicon Valley, San Jose, Ca. for those not computer savey, $2.30.9 for Union 76 87 octane. Considering the Tosco refinery is only 40 miles away, we should be getting it at $1.50.

Got to love those CA Taxes! I used to live in Sunnyvale back in the mid 90's! Gas prices were high then compared to the rest of the country, but $2.30 doesn't sound that much different than other places now!

The station I normally fill-up at jumped to $2.45 this morning, from $2.15 yesterday evening! Nope, no price gouging here!

Amazing how California is paying so much for gas when 63% of the oil used in California refineries comes from California!!!

If there is no price gouging going on, how come every oil company posted their highest profits ever last quarter??? Not gross profits, but after taxes and expenses profits.

$2.09 to $2.40 (with an average of $2.31) for 87 where I'm at (06484). It's one station at $2.09 and then the next lowest starts at $2.21.

I'm really glad to have a company vehicle which I can take home and use a company gas card to fill it.
