Has anyone had their bed sprayed with LineX over the factory spray in liner? If so how has it stood up? Any separation or issues? I'm thinking about having this done. Same as the tailgate, I hate how it sounds like plastic every time I drop something on it.

Because the factory lining is cheap and looks like crap compared to LineX or Rhino.

Amen.

I'm going to likely get my rocker panels sprayed this fall before the snow flies and have been thinking about the box too...

Huh, no issues with mine.

Yours looks as good as a linex one? The factory one feels thin and much less durable when compared to aftermarket.

I see no real difference. It may be a little thinner than the two brands listed, but, in the two years I have owned my truck, I have never thought once about being gentle to the truck bed. Seems to be in the same shape as when I bought the truck.

You'd have to remove the factory liner. Line-x can do this, but it'll cost more than if the bed were bare/painted.

If you told them "no just spray it" you'd get no warranty, and it may have a reaction to whatever the factory liner is made out of.

Thanks! I figured something along these lines. When I get the rockers done I'll talk to them about the bed. I was just hoping hear first hand experiences.

My factory bedliner looks just fine, 10+ years later.
I don't beat the living daylights out of it by any means.
I even have a few decent sized dents (hauling landscape rocks/stuff) and the bedliner hasn't chipped, separated or flaked off anywhere.

I had a bad chip in mine and then earlier this week I had a minor acid spill. I knew what I was going to find when I finally emptied the bed today, a nice inch long patch of rust.

Wire wheeled the rust and went down to bare steel all around it, hit with some self-etch, then 3 patch coats of duplicolor bedliner.

Now I just want the whole thing redone. I don't trust the patch.

What's the point? My 2010 factory liner still works fantastic.....though i'm not really concerned about the looks of my bed with it being a truck....

I'm more concerned with how it will last compared to how it will look. The factory liner is thin and seems like lesser quality. I use my truck as a truck, the bed is filled with things from gravel to gear. I don't want it get gouged up and rust out on me.

No first hadn experience but as noted im almost positive they would not warranty it in that application. Mine factory liner has held up well. I have a couple dents in it from tossing in large firewood and rocks and have not removed any of it. Only thing i wish was that the tail gate had it, the plastic is super slippery.
