Im deciding if i should powder coat my new shrock rear bumper or have it linex coated.
The price for line x 1 bumper is 150. While a local powder coating is 250. I understand linex can look flat and dull but more abrasive resistant. Im doing minor offroading and my truck is for keeps.

More abrasive resistant than PC? Who told you that? I have no hard evidence but RL experience says otherwise.

Also Line-X breaks down over time due to UV exposure.

Powder coat. When your bumper needs to be touched up, and it will if your truck is for keeps, it will be easier to have your bumper re-powder coated.

Powder coat.

Bedliner will peel when scraped, powdercoat will scratch or maybe gouge to bare steel. If you want, gloss black powder coat damage can be hidden with a little rattle can. Bedliner is a one shot deal. You get it installed once, you live with it and any damage forever. There is no stripping and redoing it, for what it takes to properly strip the bumper you are better off just getting a new bumper.

Professionally applied bed liner doesn't peel and has to be ground off to remove it. The products sold through auto parts stores are not nearly as durable and will not hold up in that application. You can pull a self applied liner out of a truck bed in one sheet.
