Hi all since last i got some info from you all on what to get to lift my 06 fronty. But i wanted to know if I will incounter any problems in the future with this?
Is it ok to lift a 4x2 even though its not a 4x4?
will I have any issues with the drive shaft when making this change?
Is there anything to look out for by doing this?

thanks,
Niel,

The easiest way to lift a 2x4 is with your legs and not your back. Then depending on the length, its probably easiest to lift from the center so that the weight is evenly distributed.

If you have any other wood working questions just post them up in the off-topic section and I am sure someone will chime in.

Side Note: What are you building?

Okay, just read it again and apparently you were talking about a 4x2 truck and not a 2x4 piece of lumber.

Lifting a 2wd is just like a 4wd but easier, you don't have to worry about CV angles in the front. As long as you keep it small (3" max) it should be pretty cheap and simple. If you go beyond that, you start to require spindles, custom leaf packs and upper control arms.

Why don't we do this: Let us know what you are thinking and we can point you in the correct direction on lift types and products. Please include desired tire size.

lol @ lumber.

OP, how much are you willing to spend?
Spacer lift can run $150, spindle lift can be >$1500...

hey all glad to be able to make everyone laugh even myself...lol "hell I've been calling her a 2x4 the whole time.....lol no wonder Ive been getting some crazy looks...lmao How do you lift a 2x4??? with my legs and not my back...lmao !!!! thats was great!!!

As for the lift I am only looking to go about 2" someone here told me the best way would be go with PRGs spacers in the front and I am sure about the back I got to look for the last post which i was not able to find but i am not that computer inclined kind of like in truck department ..lol "2x4"lmao.
I know I want her sitting level and dont want her lower or higher in the front. I am saving my money right now as we speak I am looking for the cheaper way of doing it but also the correct way. So any insight would be great. as for the tire I am running Sumatomos 126R7016 they are not bad consdering the price I paid for them....
so chim in and let me know.

there are a lot of different versions of correct.
if you are not going to off road or have it off the pavement much, and you dont really care about ride quality (not that it will get worse, it just wont get better) spacers up front and i would skimp out on prg. they have awesome suspension parts but spacers are everywhere and i can bet 100% you get them cheaper and quicker from somewhere else.
and blocks would be the cheapest in the rear. i think shackles would be a little easier though.
