I also drove the Tacoma for years, overall a great truck. This year when I needed a new truck I purchased the 2020 Frontier because of the pep in the 3.8L engine. I think you made a good decision and you will enjoy the power of the new V6.

VERY nice!

It looks so much sharper than the current-generation Taco - Looks very squared away.

And not a single fake hood air scoop in sight!

Congratulations!

I am right there with you, I’ve had an 01,04,06,08, and a 2016 taco. The frontier seems more refined then the tacomas. Curious about your lift, is that the rough country 6”?

I was by no means a life long long Tacoma owner, but I came from a ‘17. I was talked my father into a ‘20 trd pro and was tempted to snag one myself but ended up getting the ‘20 frontier after test driving it. I much prefer the 3.8 and the driving position. In your case your case with the 3rd gen you now have comparable and/or better creature comforts too. Sounds win/win to me.
Nice truck 👍
