License plate light doubts_POLL VOTE!

The title says it. I removed my bumper because I was tired of the chrome... And I know this question will be asked if I don't address it... I left the bumper support on because it is illegal to drive without a bumper. I asked a cop and he said what I left on was cool.

Now for the pol part... Do you guys like or dislike the LED license plate lights? This is my 1st pol so bear with me... I think they give off to much of a blue hue... I don't know whether to feel stupid for having them or to like them... I have mixed feelings... :comphead:Hence the pol! Have at it.

Bumper removal commentary welcome!

BTW the daylight pictures do more justice to the color tone. It seems like the dark throws off the camera.

woot first vote lol. i wouldn't go out and buy a set but i wouldn't rip them off a vehicle if it came with them

If they are that blue tint, then they might be a little on the ricey side...

I am definitely confused about the reason for the bumper removal though.

I got to agree with tholmes, that they do appear to be a little ricey if they are really that blue. If you could get a LED with a whiter light, I would change my vote to "Like" but right now I'm going with "They're ok".

for whats its worth:

dont look too bad - as long as the cops dont give ya any grief!

as far as the bumper i would definitely look into an after market - SHROCKWORKS- to fill that back end - looks like its missing that certain something

BTW; do you want to come over and wire up some for me? I am absolutely retarded when it comes to anything electrical; but I need to take my stupid bumper off.

I like 'em...but i'm biased. I run LED license plate lights on all my cars/trucks. When i take pics of my white LEDs, they always look more blue through the camera.

I think the LEDs look a lot more modern. Lexus does this from the factory with almost all their cars.

I run LEDs back there too, and it's what you like and what LEOs let you get away with.

I like the look without the bumper... with your wheels/tires/stance, it works for me.

Do they look the same in person as in the pics or do the pics show more blue? If it is just the pics, they look fine. I like the look of white LED's on the license plate.

I like em, I have them in mine as well but I don't think they give off enough light.

I think it looks better than with the bumper on... The stock bumper takes away from stance...

It's super easy... You just have to be patient and go into it knowing that you'll be making mistakes... lol. I got it down now... Yeah I noticed you still have it on even after the huge FiberWerX sides, bet it's cuz of the cops huh? About wiring some up for you... San D... I could plan something out there soon. "A Whale's Vagina" sounds cool...

They're actually looking more purplelish to me now... Damn it!! I'm gonna buy some yellow tint spray to see what that does to em...

I thought they were white when i bought them...
They're actually more blue than what the picture shows...

So.... I decided to get rid of them, but... I contacted the seller and he's hooking me up with "pure white" led's I should be getting them in about 4 weeks. I'll post pics as soon as I replace them. anyone interested in these blue ones? ($5 and will have to wait till I get the new ones).
