OK,
How many members on this site? How many other sites are like this (don't know cause I think this site is the most comphrensive and true to life)...
Is there a way, am only throwing this out there to test the waters, to find legal or media based represntation to deal with what would be based as unfair treatment / resolution to problems that we should not be dealing with? I can understand this or that randomly failing.
I for one cannot afford to have to deal with one more thing. I have been lucky in the fact that 100% of my issues have been delt with under warranty. Now, to see the fact that their is a "sticky" urging 2nd Gen owners to do a mod on the transmission / radiator I am beyond P***ed off.
Is anyone else besides me fed up? I love the truck, it drives and handles great, I just have a hard time dealing with the fact that as a community we are lucky enough to have some members come up with "home made" solutions to an obvious and very potentially costly recurring problem. I for one, as many others have, have taken the time to post detailed feedback on common problems.."Fixed Under Warranty Post" to name but a few.
Are we, as a community of "brand" based drivers of vehicles settling, for a standard that is not only subpar, but in some cases of issues with the trucks dangerous to our lives and those of our families? What would be the case if a faulty fuel gauge reading left someone driving the Interstate 5 and 805 merge in San Diego without gas (minimum of a 8 lane merging freeway) and suddenly losing power with average traffic at or about 65mph, or the case of transmission failure due to " a leaky radiator".
It is 2010 and not 1971 or any other year to boot. I for one, thought that in 2005, I was buying a vehicle I could count on. Now, each morning, when I start my truck that I keep in pristine condition I hate to admit I first look to see if my little friend, SES Light, is not lit up and staring at me.
So, united we stand...divided we fall. I would be more than happy to band with fellow members across the country and have at least the basics fixed. I only wish my best friend who had the misfortune of owning a Ford Explorer in 2000 had the resources we have. Is it unfair to ask, that a vehicle that on average each one of us has spent over $20,000.00 on is performing worse and worse as each year goes on? Or is it a simple plain fact that 2005 model Frontiers were released before their time.
I can be reached via PM above.
