Well I have a 07 frontiier kc, I was wondering if anyone has taken out their under seat vent system.

Should I plug it at the center counsel? I figure I would have more room to mount a under seat sub on my passenger side, I could leave the drivers side on but I dunno if hot air from the vent is very great for my amp...

Suggestions?

I thought about running them up into the cup holders, that way in the summer it keeps your drinks cold. Heavy equipment has been like that for years. But you would need a way to shut it off.

May look in to it some more after I get the ranger fun ready

I like Nizmuts' cold/hot drink holder! figure if you don't use "floor" they shouldn't be blowin' right?

Back in my IASCA days guys would redirect those A/C vents to cool amps.

If I plug it with something shouldnt I get a increase in air output from my main dash vents, I dont carry passengers so I dont need cold air under the seats other then faster recirculation..

This is interesting to me as I felt in 100 degree weather my A/C system seems to lack the "oomphf" or power to cool adequately here in severe Iowa summer heat. I might do the same and plug my under seat vents to bring more of the cooled air and warmed air to the front vents and window vents. Never thought of doing that until I read your post. Thanks.

Well I plugged it up at the center console, I just put cardboard in front and dynamtted it close.

Im finally done dynamatting my entire king cab as well as putting 1/4 dynaliner, im now installing my stereo system. Unfortuanly the most expensive part of my system, the front components has not come in yet.

Tracking shows it in California on Dec.11 and its still not here, shipped with priority :(
I paid 550.00 through ebay

Interesting you brought this up. I had to remove my p/s rear vent tube to mount my 4 channel amp, and it does indeed blow less air through the dash vents on that side. My sub amp had enough room beside the vent. I actually want to reinstall the vent on the p/s. Has anyone come up with any creative solutions (with pics?)

Even though this topic doesn't apply to me, I always enjoy reading how creative some of you are. I think the a/c-heat to the cupholders idea is slick.
This is the best place a Frontier owner can come for answers or ideas.
