Lookin at pulling the trigger on the group buy over at thenewx.org for the clutch/flywheel combo. Priced them out so far at Nissan and the price around these parts are up around the $1000.00-1200.00 price range for just the parts press.plate, clutch, flywheel, release bearing. For 10 people buying its $659.00..not a bad savings. To you owners with the lighter flywheel and some of you with more engine building experience do you think its worth it or not? I've searched and some older threads come up as far back as 2008, and there seems to be a mixed bag of thoughts and ideas. How are these holding up long term and what do you with your truck street, strip, wheel, a little of all? a little of all 3?

heavy vehicles dont like light flywheels, and we have a pretty high torque peak making matters worse. I'd say that kinda money would be much better spent elsewhere.

A friend of mine has a jwt flywheel on his 07 cc long bed. I have driven it a few times and we towed with it today with no problems. It made a huge improvement on acceleration and engine braking. I'm planning on putting one on mine when my clutch goes out.
