I wanted an economical unit that had a lot of features. This unit has two USB inputs (front and rear), aux input, bluetooth adapter included, microphone, cd, also this is satellite and HD ready. The total was $219.95 (free shipping and no sales tax) from Crutchfield. Crutchfield also included free USB bluetooth headset, install kit, wire harnesses and master cheat sheets.
Install was pretty simple, just takes patience to match up the wiring. I also like the pocket under the unit.
I have the JVC KWXG 700 and like it pretty well, BUT, if you get XM in it the JVC XMD1000 adapter you will need is garbage! It sometimes drops signal and then takes 5 or more minutes to "load"...Anyway, love the radio itself but I'm thinking of going with a different brand just because of the XM issue.
How is the Bluetooth pairing? Sound quality good when paired to your music device(phone/mp3 or whatever you have)? I cant decide if I want to go double din or not...
i returned this jvc unit because the bluetooth pairing worked sporadically with my cell phone. sometimes i had to turn the hu off and on. other times i had to pull out the adapter and plug it back it in, but that then required a re-pairing.
now i have the clarion cx609 with built-in bluetooth and it works great.
Bummer the JVC Arsenal KDA805 didn't work out. I liked how the the head units orange display matched the Frontiers dash lights. Glad you found something that worked out better for you in the long run.
looks better without that space that the single din causes! you listen to music paired with your cell phone or just take your calls? need to get rid of that fat stack of cds in my truck! lol i have all of the music that's on those cds on my iphone...
So I’m looking to get some subs for my 2017 CC, and I previously had two 12” JBL’s in my last car. Picked up this truck about 6 months ago and it’s time for an upgrade. I’m having issues finding an enclosure that will hold two 12’s, but I’m not sure if two 12’s would sound any good in that small...
Just installed a new Kenwood Excelon radio in my SV last night. For anybody wanting to do this in the future, the Spiral audio wiring harness works great and has all the pins needed for the SWC's. All I had to do was splice the new radio harness to this Spiral harness. All the steering wheel...
Anyone replace their stick radio in a 2017 SV, I’m having a hard time finding the right dash kit for my truck, had 2 that were supposed to fit and didn’t, if you have the part number or link if appreciate it, thanks !
Not sure if this adapter has been mentioned before and if so I had missed it. PAC makes an adapter to bypass the Bluetooth module when installing an aftermarket head unit with its own built in Bluetooth . I installed a car-joying unit and all my steering wheel controls worked except for the...
Hi guys,
I just bought a 2019 frontier and does anyone know what colors are the 2 wires on the stock radio harness that I need to hook up and splice a male RCA to connect to my new head unit Pionner AVH-2250NEX for my backup camera to work?
I've searched the site but can't pinpoint the 2 wire...
