Got in my truck this morning and drove to school. On the interstate doing 70!!! And went a long ways. And realized it was in 4hi. I must have turned the switch when I was whipping it all down with a rag, before I left. I know I'm an idiot you don't have to tell me. What should I do or check? Everything seems
To be working fine. Is there anything I should do or check, really worried now. Thanks!

I did this a cpl weeks ago. Had to tow my trailer, loaded down I might add, from Phoenix up to Prescott. Had to stop to check the trailer about a quarter of the way up there and must have bumped the switch climbing across to get out the other side. I was doing as much as 80 and didn't realize it til I got home and was trying to back the trailer into my garage.

There are some trucks that are all-time four wheel drive (fords love to do this) and they go down the interstate all the time. Nothing to worry about, you just lost some gas mileage and might've worn a tire or two a little faster.

all time 4wd isnt the issue, those are designed to be driven on the road.
the part time 4wd systems is what we use and can cause binding and premature failure on tires, or drivetrain components.
