After reading some of the negative comments about the Bakflip I purchased it anyway. I just really liked it's low profile. Hopefully the new F1 model will hold up better than the previous versions. I ordered it from truckaddons.com. With the 10% discount they were offering it came it $750. Also, after ordering, I read some reviews about truckaddons.com that were pretty bad. I have to say my order arrived in a timely fashion and without any damage. It was shipped directly from Bakflip and the packing was great.

Great decision if ya ask me. I put the same top on mine about a year and a half ago and absolutly love it. it has sagged just a tiny bit in some spots but nothing to get upset about. It was probably from me standing on top of it from time to time. oops!

BakFlip

I am looking at a Bakflip Tonneau, but I have a question for Bakflip owners, Can you close the tailgate with the bakflip cover latched closed, or do you have to open the tonneau, close the tailgate , and then reclose tonneau??

b/c of the rear seal I have to open the cover, close the tail gate, & then close the cover. not that big of a pain as the cover opens very easy.

I also just installed the Bak Flip F1 and so far am very happy with it. Specifically, #72507 for the longer bed. Shop around. For example, it is listed on this site: Folding Hard Tonneau Cover BakFlip F1 Part Number 72507 Black Fiberglass Covered Aluminum Folding Cover - TruckChamp
for $949.88 but the Live Chat person quoted me $808. Then I got this site:
2011 Nissan Frontier BakFlip F1 Tonneau Cover, BakFlip Folding Tonneau Covers
to match the price (and free shipping). They had it in stock and it arrived promptly with no damage.
It works with the Utili-track and the Bed Extender, I didn't have to drill my truck other than the rubber gaskets for the drain tubes, it doesn't take up any bed space and it looks beautiful on my black truck.

How are you guys still liking the F1? Thinking of getting it. Any of the problems that the G2 had? Leaking? Bowing in?

Just my .02, ive had the Bakflip HD for just over a year now - I have really only had 2 issues. The rubber gaskets under the 2 main bolts that hold the cover in place are deteriorating. Hasnt caused a leak issue yet but i suspect eventually it will. And when it gets cold, the thing rattles its *** off. I think thats caused by a vibration in my truck however - but its very loud.

Other than that, its been a great cover so far.

Looks good, but $750.00 would put a serious dent in beer money

Had my G2 for a couple of months now. No issues, no problems. Arrived quickly, and was packed well enough that the freight companies couldn't hurt it. :)

I like it, and I'm glad I bought it. Highly recommended.

Just make sure to put the clips as high as you can. I had to move mine up after I was done installing it because my bed extender's tightening handle wouldn't fit under the clip. easy, easy fix. I just didn't think about it when i was doing the initial install. lol

I'm just about sold on the Bakflip F1 but, I wish I could get a quick look at the install hardware next to the tailgate. I've got a custom ammo can tool box bolted to the utilitrack rail on the back left side that I'm hoping to keep. I would be greatful if someone could take a look at my setup here and let me know if it will interfere with the bakflip hardware. Thanks
