Well after putting 16k on my truck I have a nice high pitch whine that increases with the RPMS. Was told by the dealership, that its the normal charactoristics of the motor and no matter what you do it'll never go away. Which I know is a bunch of bs. Contacted Nissan corp. still haven't heard anything back from them yet over this. I decided i'm just going to get a new truck, from a different manufacturer and do a valentary repo on this one.

Go to a different dealer... A repo is a repo and will kill your credit. Get it fixed and sell it don't let it get taken back.

10/07 is all i can get off the sticker by the door. The other dealer dealer near me is 50 mins away, kind of don't have time to take it there. I work 12+ hrs a day 6 days a week.

Just because it gets repo'd doesnt mean your free from the debt. If they turn and sell it for a loss they can still come after you for the balance. Rethink what your doing. Life isn't that easy!

Dude... you could tell them what it is. You could show them the pics in the threads dealing with this. Sux that they are being like that, but I'm sure you will get it fixed for free.

I tried to, but the tech said its the just how the engine sounds and theres nothing you can do about it and hes heard worst, but that whinning noise will just get louder with the more miles. I told the service writer about the tsb ntb09-129, he said if my tech says theres nothing wrong with theres nothing wrong with it. Everything that was warranty work on my truck has been like pulling teeth, its getting old and is bunch of bs. Then corp nissan won't get back in touch with you after a week is not good business either.

HAHA not feasible other dealer 50 min away i work 11p-11a 6 days a week only off day is sunday afternoon/ monday morning.
Even with that schedule, it should be possible to find another dealer. It will just mean that you have to do it after a shift. I doubt you sleep from 11a to 11p. A 50 minute drive vs. lousy credit isn't even a hard decision to make.

In the end, it's your life, your credit, and your decision.

ya this seems really odd to me. I guess i can't wrap my mind around screwing yourself over because you don't want to put any effort in. i dont think any other manufacturer is gonna be much better and you run the liability of it being worse ( more problems/ worse service) if you dont work till 11a take it in. dealers are usually open by 8a.

I'll be another parrot here....

DON'T SCREW UP YOUR CREDIT!!! I know that I've worked VERY hard to establish mine, and I will NOT give it up that easily!

Have you called the other dealer? (50 minutes away)

Have you talked to the manager at your local dealer?

How about consulting a lawyer?

What about this option... let it blow the motor up, then hit Nissan up for a new motor...? I don't know if this is a valid option, but if get the Nissan tech's words in writing, then it seems like you should have plenty of evidence on your side.... I dunno....

If I were you I'd document the talk with the dealer. Then drive the hell outta the truck until the motor blows and take it back and say thanks for giving me a free new motor Dbags. Dont waste your credit or hard work with letting it go. Its a pain in the *** but you gotta fight those bastards. Thats how the dealers are around my area. I had to argue with them over a free car wash!!! Try contacting the better business burea, I spelled that wrong lol, and keep trying to get a hold of nissan every day. Eventually someone will get tired of seeing the messages and respond. I had to do that with Ebay twice already.

so call the other dealer, ask if you can get a loaner, if so, you're out a couple hours to drop it off and another couple hours to pick it up.

Basically, what we're all saying is that destroying your credit isn't worth it. Talk to your boss, tell him what's going on, talk to the other dealer (if need be).

If your boss is any kind of human being, he'll understand your plight and have your back.

If he doesn't, you need to get a new job.
