This weird noise keeps happening in my 2009 Frontier, mostly when i have just parked and am sitting in the truck, or at stoplights with the radio low.
I began fooling around with the vent controls to see if it affects it, and it does.
I poked around on here, and think it could be a "mode door actuator and power servo"(PN 27443-ZP00A), from this thread: http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f23/help-blower-problem-53243/

Any help is appreciated! Especially from someone who has dealt with this before.

Here is the HAC section from the 2009 service manual.
Factory Service Manuals - NICO Club

As a guess...maybe something fell into the defroster vent (Pen?) and is not allowing it to open or close all the way?

Hmmmm. Interesting. I'll try and see if that's the case sometime soon.

It's odd because sometimes it clicks over in one shot and stays.

Thanks for the info!

Folks just don't have anything to add as its odd... the last vid you posted is part of the heater... blend doors (probably already figured that). my thoughts are 1)electrical issue with motor -its not seeing itself where it should when you select that setting (foot outlet? )
2)broken gear teeth?

Not too sure what to chalk this one up to, but replacing the motor with the exact same unit (NOT the newer unit), fixed it.

PN 27743-ZP00A was the PN for the motor. One dealer told me there was an "upgraded" PN, and when I picked up that unit, it seemed to want to over rotate the unit. It also had a vertical slot where the horizontal slot should have been.
I went to another local dealer that had the EXACT PN I was replacing, and it worked like a charm.

Case: CLOSED
