My buddies have same 4.0 motor and truck with 105000 miles on it and it's on original plugs mine has only 60k and I think they need replaced
I feel like I lost power tho . Changed air filter . No vacuum leaks . I'm out of ideasNissan doesn't recommend changing them until 105K.
Unless you're already running something other than the stock plugs, there's not much reason in changing them before then.
It actually kind of feels like it's sticking in 2nd gear or something ? When I get up to 70 and let off the gas to coast downhill it stays at 3k Rpms. Like it's in a lower gear than it should be?More details would help, have you lost power OVERALL, or just in certain ranges? Are you throwing any codes? Are you using really cheap fuel? Have you smelled the exhaust and checked for oil/coolant coming out? I'd pull the plug in cyl #6 and check it out (#6 is the easiest to get to... or was #4... either way.). Do some simple diagnostics before you give up.
That sounds nothing to do with spark plugs. It actually kind of feels like it's sticking in 2nd gear or something ? When I get up to 70 and let off the gas to coast downhill it stays at 3k Rpms. Like it's in a lower gear than it should be?
Since you didn't mention what year your Frontier is - Does the transmission fluid contamination issue apply to you?It actually kind of feels like it's sticking in 2nd gear or something ?
