I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently bought my first Frontier (Pro 4X). I love it so far however I got the IPOD interface with it and it does not seem to work correctly. I have the RF 6 cd changer, XM satelite, and IPOD interface. The "Radio" button cycles through FM, AM and XM however when I get to the XM it briefly shows the XM channel and the IPOD kicks on. In short, I cannot access XM with the IPOD plugged into the interface. When I unplug the IPOD I can then access XM. Can anybody help me with this or at least confirm that this is not the intended operation of the system. HELP! Thanks

It could be working perfectly. My wife has a 06 Accord EX and we had a iPod interface installed in it. It was made by a company called "Simple". It was highly reccomended by the two top audio places in my town and it works the same way. When you switch to Xm1 or 2 it will automacticly pair with her iPod. And if you unplug it.It will go to Xm. That is how the Company who made it said it should work. Just remember you are piggy backing onto your existing system that wasn't intended to run an iPod. So the Xm port is probaly the only way for it to work unless Nissan Put extra inputs on the radio that the installer didn't know about.

with the isimple, you can switch between ipod/xm without disconnecting it.

i believe you have to have your xm set to "category" then plug ipod in. Cycle from am/fm to xm and hit the tune button within 3 sections. That will option between xm1 xm2, ipod, or aux
