So I never really thought I would need an iPod...but sure enough the gf gets me one so I may as well use it lol. Now I know it's been covered but i could never really find a solid answer, or one I liked for that matter, so here it is...

I have an 09 SE with the stock radio, thats means...
-No aux input
-No Sat/Aux button
-Single CD player

Those FM transmitters that plug into the cig plug...SUCK!

What are my options to play my iPod though the radio and have it sound nice?
Throw up some products guys.

I'd just replace the headunit and call it a day.
You could get something decent for under $200 installed that would be light years ahead of the OEM unit.
That's really your best solution dude.

I have the Parrot Mki9200 and it works pretty well. The audio quality is not all that good at higher volume levels but it will bluetooth stream audio from my laptop and my iphone3g, plus it is my bluetooth speaker phone.

The only other option in all honesty would be a hard wired M Modulator. They block out all other stations usually. the audio is lsightly lower than what I like on the highway with a full car though. If you want to try I have one from before I swapped my headunit out for something aux friendly. Let me know! Otherwise a nice headunit would be needed to truly enjoy having it.

does your stock stereo have controls to operate a cd changer if you were to add one? Usually there's disc+ or disc- on your programmable keys. Do you have a shot of the OEM headunit?

How does that hook up to the stock stereo? Does the iPod/iPhone cable charge the unit as well?
