I had an accident a few days ago and both my airbags deployed. I'm not going to be replacing them and want to know if there is replacement covers for the steering wheel and passenger side of the dash where the air bags blew out of. any help or knowledge with part numbers is greatly appreciated.

You'll probably need to get the charges reset for your seat belts too if the airbags went off...

Haven't seen any replacement 'dummy' airbags. You might want to check with your local laws to see if it's even LEGAL.

regardless of legality, am i the only one who thinks this is an ill-advised idea for your own personal safety?

Trim pieces can be ordered from the dealer or possibly found at a junkyard.

Am I correct to assume that you didn't have full coverage insurance or that the person you got into an accident with didn't have any insurance either? Were you at fault?

its a federal law. removing air bags is a no no.

and removing them anyway can either be slapped with a big fine, and you can bet insurance will drop you and not cover the accident.

unless its a race or track truck i would keep those puppies in.

maybe check out Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com They sell almost all the parts for the frontier (and nissans for that matter). Little pricey but itll get you started.

As stated above, removing the bags will cause insurance issues, airbag light issues (won't pass inspection) and in general is a bad idea. Now, if you are using your truck for offroad use or track, then its okay but as a dd, its not advisable.

Can't find parts at courtesynissan.com I also can't find a how-to. I guess that means Frontier drivers never get into accidents ... or maybe you need some kind of license to get parts/install.

A dude on craigslist trying to sell a '03 XE with previously deployed bags. I'm trying to figure out if that's even legal. Seems to be no actual law about it. ... I want an airbag, so I need some idea how much it'd cost to replace them before I offer to buy.

No. Once deployed, an air bag - whether advanced frontal or other 
type - cannot be re-used and must be replaced by an authorized service
technician without delay.

Note, doesn't say "required by law."
