Has anyone replaced the std intercooler hoses with higher quality hardware? It would it appear you should be able to make some pretty low cost mods which will reduce turbo lag, even if there is no increase in power. Any thoughts?

Check the the revised intercooler piping on 2011 models...somewhat improved.




Engine changes for 2011

Getting a little more into the technical side of things, Nissan has changed the direct injection system, which now operates at 2000 bar (as oppose to 1800 bar). According to the Japanese company the increase in pressure results in the fuel spray being atomised to an even finer degree, hence a more complete combustion.

Other new engine parts include a new cylinder head with parallel ports and a new variable nozzle turbo (VNT) with electric control (as oppose to a hydraulic system used in the previous 2.5-litre engine).
