Ok I have a couple questions. I own a 1998 Fronty, now I am wondering if doors from the 01-04 frontys are the same. Also what about the doors from 1st gen Xterras? I saw a pic of a 01 Xterra the front looks just like a fronty will that front bumper work on mine? I'm not much for chrome.

I THINK the doors are the same from 98-04. The interiors are not all the same however.

Same generation Xterras might look the same but they aren't quite exact. If you really really wanted to put it on it could be done but its not as simple as unbolting the stuff you have now and bolt on stuff from an X.

I am not real concerned about the interior matching up, as long as it's gray that's fine. I am really looking to swap the whole door just the guts and door card. I really want power windows and door locks. I know there are aftermarket kits but I like my stuff to look like it could have been stock.

it would have to be from an early X 99-00 the 01-04s had a little different body line I think. bumpers are close and you can make them work, Sliversuper is running a shrock x bumper on his 03. The X hoods and lights on the 01-04 are a little different but a full swap works on the 98-00s that are the same i believe.

This is the bumper i'd like to swap from the xterra to my frontier. I'm just after the bumper, although the grill would be cool too.

I never thought about getting power doors/windows that way. I guess it just doesn't bother me enough to do it. I don't think you have to swap the whole door. Just go to a junk yard a pull what you need. If you can find an SE frontier, you can pull the door interior and guts. The door interiors are the same from 98-02 I think. Your door should have all the holes to put the electric motor in.

Yes, the bodies of all our trucks pretty much have one basic body style and then from there they add on to it so yes it should have everything there. Like I said in another post, I added power mirrors and the window stuff to a 97 Hardbody XE single cab that never had that option but everything I needed was already there including the wiring harness ending at the dash. Pull it out of a salvage truck and you should be good to go.

The inside of my door on the 06 SE doesn't look any different than the 97 XE except the locks so this is simple.

This is not true.

The parts are similar, yes. But, most are not the same.

the bumper from 00 to 01 X will bolt right on a 98-00 frontier

however, they wont bolt on to newer X and frontiers...

richard did a mock up of my tube bumper on a xterra... and it fits my frontier fine
