I have a 2002 Frontier, 3.3, manual naturally aspirated. I am needing to replace my instrument cluster. Are clusters engine/trans specific? Will one from a 4 cyl auto work with my V6 manual? Tried searching, but found nothing that would help.

appreciate any help I can get.

They are specific to engine, trans, drivetrain, model... In fact, there are 18 different cluster part numbers just for a 2002 Frontier, some of those numbers do supercede other numbers. One option is to send your cluster out to be repaired. This company is supposed to be pretty good, but there are others:

Well crap! That companies web site doesn't list Nissan as one they repair.....not even sure it's the cluster, hoping the speed sensor fixes the speedometer issue.

They don't list all that they repair. You have to call them or send them a message via their link on this page:

They are pretty good at responding to their messages.

Here are some other options:

Circuit Board Medics (call 800-547-2049 to discuss a quote):

Of course, for used, there's always Ebay and Car-part.com.
