Well I'm glad I started on the rear first, as the brake lines that came with my lift for the rear are incorrect, the ones on my truck come off the caliper at a 90' bend then on to the axle where the clip is but it just looks like a compression fitting that you can't separate, which is if you could separate it, you could install the lines that came with the lift, now I'm worried that other parts might not fit correctly, I guess I'm gonna have to call Calmini and ask them, man this blows.

After further review and reading the small print I discovered that on post '05 models the rear brake lines do not need to be replaced, so rear of truck is finished, I 'll have two helpers tomorrow so hopefully the front will be done by sunset, gonna spend some quality time with the installation instructions now.

ok we are installing the rear db and trying to bolt on the diff and I cut the front piece of metal per the installation instructions but now the bolt can't go through, are you supposed to cut out that piece of metal on the front and back of the same side to bolt the diff back up?, because that is the only way we can figure to move forward.

Any luck?
well, we ended up cutting out the piece in question and everything bolted right in place like I thought it would, got screwed by the passenger side lower a arm, it had a bolt that just wouldn't budge, after trying to pound on it forever I ended up grinding it off but that screwed us out of at least an hour and a half, was able to pb blast the pig out of there with another 30 minutes of persuasion, then the rain came, the truck is on jack stands in the driveway, waiting to reinstall the lower arms, spindles, etc, although the instructions state to take the diff all the way out of the truck, we were able to to just drop it down into place with a floorjack, so I think we did pretty well today for three shadetrees, damn lower a arm is what screwed us, probably would have all but finished up today had it not got it the way, oh well, drinking some well deserved Becks right now, see if I can finish tomorrow.

I noticed that when installing mine as well I also had to cut both the front and back piece, the kit looks nice on the truck IMO

Ok I have the spindles, rotors, brakes, torsion bars, all installed, all thats left is the new brake lines, shocks and those crappy towers until I get my extended Radflo's, and this mother $#%#$^* sway bar, I know you can run without it but I would like to put it back on, and I have flipped those mounts and the sway bar every possible way and I cannot get it to mount, can somebody please post a pic of what it should look like? And who was it that posted the cam bolt positions you can use in your driveway that make it driveable until you can get it to the shop? was it Brutal?

Ok I might not needs pics, do you have to install the sway bar to the Calmini mount brackets first then install the bracket to the truck?

Thanks Mike, although neither of those articles specifically describe how to install the sway bar, the pic on the one shows how the bracket goes on which is how I thought it would go on, but the Calmini instructions state to install bracket first then the sway bar, which you can't do because you cannot get a wrench on the rear bolt that holds the swaybar to the Calmini bracket, hopefully this will help someone else in the future.

Hey mate, when i put mine in i put the sway bar on the brackets first cause your dead right, if you go the other way you cant get to the damn nuts!!

cheers sean
Thats what I ended up doing, it's all back together, except I need someone to stand on the brake while I tighten the spacers down, and nobody's home, oh well I'll have it together tomorrow for sure, I did Brutal's alignment with the nothces pointing in towards the oil pan in the rear ><and out in the front <> so hopefully my toe isn't that much out of whack that I can get to the alignment shop all I did was flip the tie rod's 1/2 a rev, on a side note my vdc light is now on, any suggestions? I'll have some pics up by Saturday.
