Damn that looks good. I just ordered a bunch of stuff for my truck. Front grill guard, rear bumper guard, bug hood guard, roll bak system and tail light guards. Will post pics once they are here and installed. JUST WANNA ASK... In the last pic it looks like the rollBAK is not properly allined with the tailgate. Was it fixed or was it just the picture that made it seem that way???

i did not have it locked back all the way so it had a little gap. when it is locked back it forms a tight seal with no gap.

Wow that looks great, I have been researching the rolbak for a while. Can you answer a few questions.
1) What is the width of the canister ?
2) Also what is the problem with the bed extender, Does it still slide in and out or does it not flip over ??

Thanx

Scott :D :?:

3) Ok 1 more, What is the part.model number, seems like some webe site offer different numbers.
thanks again.

first here is the site i ordered it from took, about a week to get it and they are pretty much the lowest price i found. http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/subpages/bak_tonneau_covers.htm

The canister is about 3 inches short of the full widthe of the bed, (sorry i am to lazy to take the exact measurement right now) It sits about 5 inches off the be so you can put stuff underneath it

The bed extender wont slide out completly any more so make sure the sliders are in before you install, I then shortend the extender so it cleared the side rails of the cover and then bent the sliders to fit the new length of the extender. the pivot point sits bout 2.5in igher but it works like a champ. you have to back out the tighting knob all the way to clear the clamps but other than that it slides fine, and the cleats work fine as well. if you have anymore questions let me know.

What “minor” modifications did you have to make for the track system? I was reading on the rollback website that the Nissans track system in the bed needs modified before putting the rollback on. Or maybe the rollback needed modified prior to install?

their website said to flip the rails upside down, but when i looked at mine it would have moved the rail closer to the the top of the bed, so i left it the way it was and just made sure the clamp was as far up as it would go before i tightened it down. so just look at the rails and if the bottom bolt goes through the center of the rail and not the flat part you are good to go. if not unbolt and flip it and you are good to go.

You don't need to worry about flipping the utili-track rails, that's only for the Titan (though that's not clear on the website).

Here's a web-page I put together about mine. No installation pix because I was able to use the video and the (lousy) instructions to figure it out. Took me about 1.5 hours and much of that was because I was being overly careful.

http://www.geocities.com/scopetx/Frontier/RollBak.htm

Hopefully some of the post-install pix will help you out.

If you were near I'd be happy to help out, but I'm leaving this afternoon for a (much needed) vacation.

Good luck,
-Scope
