I installed LED turn signals that blink too fast now. I know I need to add a load resistor of some type. Has anyone already done this that could tell me how to do it? Pics would truly be helpful if possible too.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have LED turn signals or brake lights...but I've got LED reverse & dome lights from V-leds.com. They seem to have good customer service and would probably help you out if you called/emailed them. I think they sell some sort of resistor to fix that problem...not sure of the details. Please post your fix when you figure it out!!

You can wire small incandescent light bulb into the loop...

i dont have the FSM right now but all you need is a test light or you can try a interweb search for the FSM.

I didn't actually read the whole thread so this may be a repeat. But if you have LED lights and put a resistor in series it kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it??

Anyway all you really need is a new flasher designed with LEDs in mind. Here is an example of what I am talking about.

The flasher seems the way to go. I put LED tail lights on my Wrangler and had the fast flash until I got a direct-swap turn signal and emergency flasher made for LED's. There isn't on for Frontiers?
That would be awesome, but with the little research I've done I don't think we have electronic flashers. I think the only fix is resistors. I was on a xterra forum and they were able to just plug in an aftermarket flasher. I don't think we can.

no, your putting the resistor in parallel with the actual LED

this way, the computer thinks that there is an incandescent bulb load on the circuit... causing them not to blink fast (automakers do this so as to warn that a bulb is out)

once the load is gone, the blinkers blink fast again

LEDs use way less power then a incandescent bulb does

i have them on my truck, but the wiring from gen 1 to gen 2 is completely different... mine just have a solid black wire (ground) and a black with red stripe (hot)
