You need to clean the surface with an alcohol prep pad and make sure it dries before trying to install the mirror base. Also, make sure it cures a full 24-hours before attempting to mount the mirror. Not sure what you're doing wrong, but anytime I've used a rear view mirror kit the base wasn't going anywhere on the glass afterwards unless it was with a hammer and chisel!

I'm having to glue my rear view mirror back on again for the third time.
I have one of those wide view mirrors attached to it, and that's probably why it keeps on falling off.
Has anyone replaced it with one that bolts into the roof?????
