Has anyone tried the OT-2 from Innovate Motorsports? I saw the ad on this site as a "featured product" and it has an iphone app so i thought that was cool. a little research and this thing has full data logging, dyno, DTC's and more. I downloaded the free dyno app to play with but i wanted to see if anyone has the OT-2 hardware that plugs into the OBDII port to give you full functionality. it seems about like the other scanguage tool many people use, but it is wireless to your iphone/ipad or i think even to a laptop.
I got it...."Full data logging"...yeah, not so much. Can't even log for knock retard..tried it on my Frontier and my CTS-V with the same results. I'm holding out hope that the next release will have the ability to scan for more PID's, but at this time, it's honestly more of a gadget than anything. Well, at a minimum, it's a really nice code reader/clearer.
Also, the speed of the scanning is kind of slow. If you're only scanning a few PID's, it's pretty quick. But if you scan for the usual PID's (LTFT's, RPM, VSS, etc..), it's gets a little laggy. I have EFILive for my GM products, and it scans a lot faster than the wireless OT-2.
I did want something that I could quickly hook up to scan for knock retard, AFR (which it also can't scan for), etc. Thus the reason I got the OT-2.
There are a couple of other App store apps that may work with the OT-2, but i haven't had a chance to try them yet.
Innovate makes some good stuff, so in time it might get better.
