Aside from all the posts on the general discussion about timing chain, exhaust, and electrical issues... I have got to say I am impressed in the snow driving performance of this truck.

My truck is stock, with the factory BFG's also... They've got 26K miles on them, but in 9 inches of snow, this thing just tackles through with precession in 4x4 and I'm also impressed in how stable it is even when in 2 wheel drive on icy roads.

This thing beats the piss out of my GF's 08 4 door 4x4 colorado z71 when it comes to handling, capability, weight distribution and snow/dirt driving, although her's is LOTS more comfy suspension.

There's my happy post :D

:fantastic:
yeah once most people get past all the problems and say to themselves, how many people is this happening to compared to the amount of frontys on the road and understand that EVERY VEHICLE EVER MADE HAS PROBLEMS then most people tend to see how amazing this truck really is. you sould post this here in http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f8/positive-ownership-thread-50760/ and add to the list of very happy owners.

also a very happy :itsfriday: tomorrow to you too sir lol

Yea, lack of a comfy suspension was one reason I liked the fronty. Its a truck, comfy suspensions belong on boring to drive cars, imo. Fun cars dont have comfy suspensions either, imo.

I second this, I drove it on some black ice (during the freeze/snow here in Texas a week or whatever ago) and the antislip system worked fantastically while my brother in laws dodge had quite a bit of trouble staying planted on the road.

I really love this truck so far.

Its good to hear some positive remarks on the Frontier, especially from the OP who had so many issues when he first bought his truck.

Happy Fridays? What are those? I still have two more nights of work left, my work schedule is terrible.

I am also impressed. Have an 09rmz4 and have about 200 lbs in back. I've had first chance to drive on ice and snow recently - as solid and sure footed as anything I've driven - was a little leary that back end would be light and slide around but have not had that feeling - abs, limited slip, and vdc work great to keep it going straight - haven't been in deep snow yet but think it will be no problem.

Glad to see most agree ! Yes, this thing just tackles the deep snow like wild... just GOES! Love it! Also, this engine handles blow 0 temperatures better than my rodeo's 3.2l does. It seems the VQ40 doesn't seem to be as crippled in the morning as my rodeo's engine, just has power ready to roll and warms up a lot faster.
