Suspension

Just curious, what did you use for your suspension lift and did you have to do anything additional to accommodate the body lift?

O.K., I just bought the Daystar 2" leveling kit with 1 1/2" shackles. I plan to install next week. I had the same kit on my truck in Central America and it worked just fine - had to carry tire chains though, when clay is wet it doesn't make for good traction!

I'm going to pull off the running boards to sand and repaint the brackets with some Petit EZ-Poxy black that I bought from;

EZ-Poxy Modern Polyurethane Topside Paint - Pettit Paint - iboats.com

Then I'm moving onto the body lift. I'm leaning more to 1" or 1 1/2" with the black UHMW rods from Amazon. I don't care too much for the gap at the bumper or buying additional fender flaps , steering extensions, etc.

I doubt I could do any of it without the write ups. Or at least the write ups make it a whole lot easier :nerd:

Thanks to all who did this before.

Sixteen 2" UHMW pucks.

Eight Class 10.9, 160mm long 12mm (M12-1.25) bolts (cab mounts).

Four Class 10.9, 90mm long 10mm (M10-1.25) bolts (bed mounts).

Four 55mm bolts (two get nuts & washers; two will act as pins)(bed spacers).
More specifically, to duplicate what I've done (all from Fastenal; www.Fastenal.com)...

M10-1.25 x 55mm DIN 960 Class 8.8 Plain Finish Hex Cap Screw, SKU 38429, Qty 4 (bed spacers);
M10 x 30mm OD DIN 9021 Grade A2 Stainless Steel Fender Washer, SKU 11545693, Qty 4 (bed spacers);

Jon,
I finally purchased my kit. How did you fix your gap? Did you make your own gap guard?

I haven't done anything. It's not bothering me aesthetically.

I'd like to raise it and the receiver, but think the receiver would be difficult. May design my own custom bumper.
