yes you would, the factory maps can not adapt to that much air flow and needed ignition timing. Uprev supports '03 and up as far as i know, i would contact them to see if they can do it. that would be the least expensive solution, around $600 with dyno time and all.

Other than that would be a piggy back computer system, which equals $$$$

I forgot about that. Also, any basic AFC(air fuel controller) will get you by. They go b/w the maf (or map)sensor and the ecu and trick it to add more or less fuel. Thing is you also need a wide-band o2 sensor. That is not messing with timing though.

I would like to super charger or turbo my frontier, but would adding a forced air system need me to remap my ecu, if so, how would i do so, and where could i do it not to expensively.

And please no stupid criticism
it will not be cheap. what is your budget for this?

ignition and fuel delivery upgrades are costs to consider as well on top of the forced induction hardware. it will be pricey

thats the beauty of the greddy emanage ultimate! it allows you to adjust the timing!

you may just want to abandon this idea unless you are willing to drop some huge cash and do stuff that no one has done before. This is uncharted territory.

There is always the obvious solution of finding a s/c 3.3 and putting it in your truck.

4x4parts.com used to have an eaton supercharger kit, if i remember correctly, but i've never heard a single bit of info about it ever and i just checked their site, its gone.

no matter how you try to do this its gonna cost big money. good luck

i just finished... well am still working on sort of... my s/c. you do not need bigger injectors, uprev does not support any first gen frontier and im going with the aem f/ic since the only thing you really need to adjust is the pulse width of the injectors and the ignition timing. but if i were you i would definitely just do an engine swap. it would be worth the extra time and what little more you would have to pay. i figure ill have 2k to 2.5 k in mine when im done. it runs but its only pushing 3psi according to my cheap analog boost gauge. but definitely do the engine swap.
