As the title says I want HID's, I am new to this forum but not to cars (see sig). I want to do projectors. What do you guys have. I have done some searching on here but have only seen the finished product that some of you folks have made. Any kits out there? Thanks in advance!

OR the other option is to buy the sh11ty ebay projector headlights and then swap the projector out but still retain the housing. There really are a few ways to go about doing it, it just comes down to how much money you're willing to spend.

Well if you're smart about where you get your parts from, a solid projector retrofit shouldnt cost more then $500.

do a retrofit with OEM parts from Infinity, BMW, Acura etc. Something of quality. All the stuff they have available for plug n play and the ebay projectors are Junk. If you paid 1100 for stuff for the vette, the stuff currently available for Frontiers is about worth the valve stem cap on one of the wheels on the vette and not worth buying. I have used a few different types and went back to PIAA halogens. The HIDs stock in my Acura MDX kick ***, but there is nothing even close to that available for the Frontier unless you retrofit. Anyone who says there is, just plain hasn't had real HIDs.

See if you can order the ones from the European Pathfinder.
Their headlights look like they should be a direct fit...wonder how much it would be to order them...
Here is what I found, I popped over the ebay Europe and searched to see what I could find. Here is the Xenon Head lights for the pathfinder. I will try and find a part number and call the local dealership and see what is costs.

Xenon headlights

I doubt your local dealer can order those lights - if it isn't a stock part in your country, it won't even show up in their parts list. Same goes with block heaters in the USA - your dealer can't get them, but a Canadian dealer can.

I came in right at $500 for all the HID parts and an extra set of stock headlights. Ended up with this:
That's exactly what I am looking for. Where did you get the parts, or did you buy it like that? I assume you Hi/Lo in that set up. How hard was that to make?

Thanks

I spent about 20 hours making both sides. All you need is a dremel and paitence. There is nothing very difficult about retrofitting them. I got the parts from The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications I bought the FX-R package, which came with bi-xenon projectors (high and low beam), bulbs, ballasts, and wiring harness and a warrenty on the electrical parts.
