So far on my commutes to work my gas mileage has slowly gone up every drive. I am almost at the 1000 mile mark. I had changed my oil at 500 miles other than that my CC is stock. My last fill up i averaged 20.6 MPG doing the ol mileage divided by gallons. Right now i got the truck computer reading 20.2 and i think she is maxed out. Today was the first day it did not go up. I drive city mainly not more than 60 mph and work is a 70 mile round trip. I also drive like a granny mostly.

highway 59 north out of houston thru a tank of fuel netted 23 mpg in my stock gen 2 X. you got room to improve a bit. Bear in mind tho, right now, your probably using winter fuel.

Where are you commuting from/to in NPR? Also, where have you been filling up? I will be in town this weekend and need to track down that gas station since I have been seeing 17-18 in the last couple of months (heavy foot and cold weather and not to mention the awesome E10 crap)

Before my big tires I averaged about 20.8 on the freeway driving about 80 mpg. We took a trip to Lagoon (think 6 flags) down in Utah, and driving 85 mpg to keep up with traffic I was getting 22 mpg. So slower is not always better!

Where are you at now after the 285's?
I did the 87 tune on the Cortex, used 89oct. and just upped it to about 16.5 mpg with 100% Hwy and 82-85 mph.

I am up near state road 52 and us 19 and drive down little/east lake/mcmullen booth down to st pete. So far my first 3 fill ups have been at the race trac gas station on 52. Well on my way home tonight i bumped the mpg meter to 20.4 and romped on it a lil bit. This thing has got some power. Just picked up my truxedo tonneau cover gonna install it this weekend. I am pretty happy with the gas mileage considering its a 4.0 litre.

I used to get 24 consistently on the fwy before I switched to my MT's. Now I get around 17-18. I have put a CAI and exhaust in there since...wonder what my mileage would be if I got some tires that weren't as heavy/aggressive?

Another logoon goer, sweet :)... I don't think its affiliated with 6 flags though. Thats incredible getting that gas mileage at that speed. If I keep under 70ish, I can stay around 21 on i15

I run a 50 mile commute each day topping out at 50mph (thats the fastest allowable speed limit on my island) with occassional 35pmh slow downs and I average 19.9 - 20.3 miles a gallon. My truck now has 3500 miles BUT I also put in Costco premium gas. When I switched from regular unleaded to premium I saw a jump of about 3 miles per gallon. Interesting note, when I gas up at a regular station, such as a Chevron, I get even a little better mileage compared to when I fill up at Costco. However, considering I live in the State with the highest gas prices (currently 3.78/gallon regular) Costco is almost a necessity versus a regular station. I save approx. 30 a gallon at Costco.
