I twice replaced the light bulb in my Pathfinders left brake light. Why would three ( including original) bulbs all burn out? the last one didn't survive a full week. My Pathfinder is in excellent shape and never has any issues. Any input would be appreciated. Maybe I bought a bad two pack of replacement bulbs?

did you touch the bulb with your hands like the actual glass of the bulb. is their moisture in said lights or cracks or anything like that

In a house that would be a loose neutral wire, cause uneven return voltage (high voltage) burns out light bulbs, sterios and motors.

but this is dc so a lose connection generally just causes components to stop working not burn up. he would have lights that flicker on and off or it would just stop working all together

Does it have non-OEM hitch wiring? If so, thats it.

Past that, you may want to look at the grounds and see if any of them are screwed or anything. Then, possibly check the voltage with a volt meter and see if it is correct or high or what.
