idk if they are any thicker. thickness looks about the same. i think its cuz they way they were structurally manufactured.

I miss my 04 frontier
the only thing that i miss from it is the bumpers,
again 2 years later, my truck was hit at low speeds and the bumper folds like aluminum foil.
