[Getting on my soap box]

Whoever thought that buried, hidden, unobtainium Thermostat Bypass hose was a good idea needs a bullet...

The bend is too sharp to just loop straight hose, and on my 240SX when it gave up, I ended up using 2 90 degree hard bends, 3 chunks of hose, and 6 band clamps to fix it...

my truck's gave up yesterday, I'm going to order a GATES 19607 and see if I can get that to work...

Besides the fact you have to pull most of the crap off the front of the passenger's side to get to it, it is a serious PITA to install....

Bastards...

[getting off soapbox]

so I figure it is a good time to flush, change both Radiator hoses and any other coolant hose I can get too, change the thermostat, hell, might even do the PVC! :surprise:

PCV isn't too bad if you do it during an oil change with the filter removed. It also helps to remove the passenger side wheel for the extra work space. I just did mine and it was blocked solid. No rattle at all. Don't forget the PCV filter floss up in the air cleaner cover.

Well, the Bypass hose was actually good, however, the steel nipple 90 degree fitting that the hose slides on?

2 pin holes...

JB Weld to the rescue, see it that works.

Couldn't get a new PVC Local, so that is not getting changed that time...

So that fitting itself is not replaceable?
