I am @ my witts end please help!!!!!! video posted!!!!!!ITS FIXED!!!!

I have a 07 fronty with 80k miles on and i have this noise coming from under the hood that sounds just like an old chevy fuel pump.The noise starts when it gets above 1k rpms and when it drops below 1k rpms it stops.I had read on post on here about a similar problem and the guy had his idler tension replaced and it fixed it but i replaced mine today and it did not.This sound is very annoying.It does not increase with speed it stays at a constant whine.Oh yeah i have already had the timing tensioner replaced at 50k and it does not sound like that did.If anyone could please help with the problem i would greatly appreciate it.:comphead:Here is a video not real good though but if you listen close you can here the high pitch noise

could be fan clutch or something else driven by the belt. when you replaced the tensioner, did you spin everything by hand and listen for noise?

No i did not but if it was a fan clutch wouldnt it increase with rpms?

depends on what thing is causing the noise. i would start with pulling the belt and check the alternator, a/c, power steering, fan clutch, and any idler pullies. also, does it change with the a/c being on?

It does not change with anything on or off.I will try and take a video of the noise and post it on here.

Take the belt off and run the truck. If the noise is gone, its one of the drives. Usually if it is belt related, it will change with RPMs

ya'll are not going to believe this because i didnt.I got an early start this morning taking the belt off to if it was one of my pulleys got it and started the truck and it was still doing it so i got a little upset thinking i was fixing to have to dump more money into this truck.Well i then changed my oil because i was about 2k miles past due.I know I know my fault but after changing the i started up the truck and what do you know no more whine.I drove it around town and it has stopped no more whine yip pee.Do you think it could have been the oil pump or something?It's sure got me puzzled.:fantastic:
