I've owned a couple of toyota's in the past and, the last one being sort of a lemon, I decided that I'd check out the frontier. I bought a used 2007 crew cab SE 4x4 back in January and I'm loving it. Well, most of it. One of the reasons I've joined up is to try and find the answer to the infernal squeak as I drive down washboard dirt roads...which make up a very large portion of Vermont. Drives me nuts. Past trucks have gotten the full lift, big tire, etc. treatment but I'm planning to keep the frontier fairly tame. That said, certain upgrades might be necessary so I get drive over stuff that gets in my way. I have a heard time not driving over stuff. My old subaru didn't really do so well at driving over stuff. I couldn't change my driving habits so I changed what I drove. All is well. except for that squeak, that is...

Welcome to the club....
Where in VT are you? I'm up there all the time.

Most likely your squeak is the rubber hood stops. Twist them out a little and lube 'em up

Nice! I lived in burlington for a summer many years ago... My buddy has a house in Jerhico now - hope to make it up there again soon.
