Not sure what you are asking. You want to run 20" wheels with a 40 series tire that is about 12" wide? You 16 year old and have save $2200 to spend on your truck.

First off I am going to be an old man here and say save your money. Unless you have a rich daddy that is willing to drop phat cash for you to pimp your ride (doubt it since you are driving a 08 Frontier) learn not to be "ghetto rich".

Next 12" wide 20s. 305/40/r20 would fit the bill. Tire rack has 1. Runs $500+ for ONE tire. There goes your entire budget just for tires. When I was 16 I burned through a set of tires almost every year.

Stay in school. Study hard. Do drugs and drink beer with your friends. Have sex with girls (or boys if you are a girl or into that kind of things, I don't judge). But don;t waste away your youth by spending all your time working some **** job just so you can buy some shiny rims to impress NO one.

Sorry for the editorial. But if you want to mess with/learn more about cars. Find a used car for about $1K that is not running. Fix it and sell it for double.

Another old man here ....LOL
Not sure if a 305/40-20 would fit..but here is a link to a tire size calculator comparing a 265/75-16 stock size Frontier tire to a 305/40-20:
https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=305-40r20-265-75r16

I would think the width of the tire/rim might be the deal breaker ? ...

He wants a 20x12 with a -40 offset. He wants that super thrown out the fender deep dish wheel look. I'm guessing you want to run a 33 inch tire which would just about be impossible.

Edit: Just remembered you said 6 inch lift. Probably still may not work and your wheels and tires would eat your budget.

20” wheels on a mid size truck is excessive, but not outrageous

But (Nissan4Life) children do have different wants and goals in their fresh new little lives

Im only 16 too! I have 17s with 275/65r17 with 2.5 inch lift trust me dont go over 18 inches on the rims. I got my rims and tires for a little over a grand. Save your money when something goes wrong ( ecm went on mine 1500$ later) you wont care about your rims, all you want is your damn truck to move.

I'll ride along with all the other "old guys" and ask you if you have done any math. That 6" lift is about $1200.... Avoid cheap wheels like the plague. so... as already mentioned, $1000 left in your budget will NOT get you any wheel or tire of a quality I would bolt on my truck.

I'd keep saving your pennies.
The 6 inch lift is only 1200??? S**t i should have done that.:frown:

Just thought it is worth mentioning a CST Spindle lift is for a 2 wheel drive only and is a 4" lift.

But looks like PRG offers a group package with a CST spindle and a lift spacer and other items for a 6" lift.....again for 2 wheel drive only.
