So I hear you're really supposed to use Nissan Matic J transmission fluid in the 05+ Frontiers. How many people have used something else? What did you use and have you had any issues.
I just ordered AMSOIL universal automatic transmission fluid which I know has been used before in this tranny. I plan to do just a drain/fill which I know will leave me with a mix of both fluids but they're supposed to be 100% compatible. I know AMSOIL is good stuff so I can't imagine I'll have any issues but I've read enough posts about how you're supposed to use the Nissan stuff that it's got me a little worried.
The nearest dealer is a half hour away which is a lot to drive just for some fluid which is why I went AMSOIL.
