Purchased truck used in 04. It's a 2004 crew cab. I doubt it has LSD but how can I be sure?

Also, any good how-to's for changing diff fluid?

Um, yeah, the big sticker saying use LSD oil only is probably a good sign I do have LSD.

Now off to the parts store. I don't want to break the gasket and I only see one fill hole, so I guess I will have to siphon it out?

get a new gasket and pull the cover lot safer so you can inspect your diff

You can look on the pumpkin and it will have a sticker that says LSD. Other wise jack the back up, in neutral with both tires off the ground. Spin one back tire if the other tire turns in the same direction it probably has a LSD, if it rotates in the opposite direction it's an open diff, or something like that. Maybe it should be in gear. Either way if the tires turn opposite each other it's open.

My gen 1 doesn't have a cover, it has a third member instead. :nana:

Orange Sticker or lift up rear, put in neutral and spin wheels (highly dangerous though).

You should have two openings in pumpkin. One at top and one at bottom. Use 1/2 in rachet end without socket and remove them. Air gun works wonders.

thats just the wrong way to do LSD...

i may be wrong, and i am NOT an expert at rear diff's or rear ends, but doesnt the c200 have bolts around the cover and the h22b don't? also the c200 from my knowlage is a open diff and the h22b is a lsd. like i said i don't have experience at rear ends so please excuse my ignorance if i am wrong. also i have c200 sadly

The C200 has the removable cover, the H233B does not. Both were available in open and LSD configs.
