As the title says, the plastic hood release cracked and is completely useless on my truck. I have to use a pair of pliers tograb the table in order to pop the hood. Does anyone know where i can get this piece to replace? or if i have to replace the whole cable?

It seems like the cable is rly tight, which might have been the reason the release lever cracked, is there anything i can do about this short of replacing the cable? it seems like the routing of the cable makes it a pain to swap out.

mine broke too. i chopped the wire and put a handle on it and re mounted it for easy access (only if you know where its located)

when i get time its going to be a button.

New cable (assembly) should fix it. Might want to check the latch too.

the release is a simple spring mechanism, nothing special.
hooking an actuator through the battery and running power to button. easy peasy.
then mounting. i havent decided on a place yet. but it will be out of site but easy to get to.

Had mine break......easy fix but u need the whole cable assembly from the hood to the handle. Cant just replace the incabin latch..unless u rig some crap up..lol
