So I just purchased a replacement AEM filter (dryflow) for my Volant. Got it in the mail and it has a hole in the plastic end cap. This hole is 3/8 to 1/2" in diameter. Did I get the wrong filter or what? What is the deal with a hole at the end of the filter that should be sealed? The part number is AEM-21-209-H (does H stand for Hole?) Should I send it back and order the other model of the same dimensions? Is there a safe way to permanently plug the hole?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Dunno about the hole, see above it you have a Gen 1 truck. If you have a Gen 2 truck you probably have the wrong filter. Correct part number for the AEM Filter for the Volant is 21-209EDK for a Gen 2.

Is it supposed to be brand new or used? If it is used, it could be an insert hole for a wet spray of NOS...

Awesome. Guess I have the wrong part. Have a 2nd gen truck so the hole is not needed or desired. Guess I will return it and order the other one. Really wish they would have made the difference clear on their web site. Oh well, such is life.

Thanks for the input.
