HLP.Dead shock! Dead fuel...

OK, so maybe I could get insight on two things here...
1. My left shock's seal blew. Where can I get it fixed and if I do is it necessary/recommended to redo both shocks or would it be ok to just fix the one blown shock?

2. My "Fuel Level Censor" seems to be out. Does anyone know if this is covered by warranty? I had the code erased and I'll be waiting to see if it pops up again... It probably will as it gave me problems when I filled up the other day... It took a whole day for it to read full; it slowly came up to full.

Any insight on these two topics would be very much appreciated!

The fuel thingy has a Sevice Bulletin:

NTB09009 -Fuel Gauge Doesn't Read Full/Slow Respond
IF YOU CONFIRM • Fuel level gauge does not read full when tank is full. OR • Fuel level gauge is inaccurate or reads erratically. ACTION • For 2WD models, replace the fuel sender unit only. • For AWD models, replace the fuel sender unit and sub-sender unit. See this bulletin for further detail.

So I think it's a warranty fix.

Sweet..! Thanks!

Now I know nothing about taking springs apart... nor do I have leisure time for it... I'm in the middle of school right now and I seriously have no time. Who could do this for me? Shops? Anyone here that is experienced and wants to make a couple of bucks? I'm in SoCal 92316 Inland Empire Rialto/Fontana area. I need this done soon! I need to do the alignment on my truck; my tires are going to ****!
Where can I find this bulletin? I'd like to "see for more info..."
Dang man that sucks on the front shocks. I hope you can get them fixed man.

NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006 AND MODEL YEAR 2008 FRONTIER, XTERRA AND PATHFINDER VEHICLES. Also, the Titan guys, Has everyone seen this? Gas Gauge TSB!!! - Nissan Titan Forum
Greg will rebuild your shock, If you don't want to take it off send it wait for him to do it and send it back. Get a hold of BTF and see if he can do it why you wait.. you have to be with in 5 miles of his shop..
So finally got a hold of BTF and... He'll rebuild my shock for $225. I need input on this pricing... I know it's all labor since I don't have the know how of how to take it apart... So can you guys chime in on the pricing? Fair??? Not fair..??

This is only one shock by the way...
removal, rebuild and install it's a couple hours work. Say 3 hours at $75 an hour not bad.. If you pull it off and put it back on you could save quit a bit of that.
(sigh...) What to do..? What to do...?

I know the seal kits are like $15 so the rest is all labor... I don't want to mess anything up... so I'm not going to put hands on it at all... I just want to hand it over and get it fixed. What sounds reasonable to you Mustard?
drop it off in the AM and pick it up at night not have to worry about it for $225 is not bad..

plus you will get to see my truck.. Just paying $225 to see my truck is worth it..
