I wouldn’t. The fluid is thicker than new - being full of metal particles from all those miles of never being changed. (If this would be the FIRST)
Every fluid change I’ve ever seen on high mileage leads to slipping gears/moving parts. Oil or tranny or rear diff. You asked for opinions, that’s mine. Worked in an oil lube shop. Not claiming to be a ASE mechanic. Just what I’ve seen. New fluids are way thinner and full of detergents.
