Hey guys so I am looking into hid lighting options for my truck. I need to replace my housings they are the original and have been restored so many times they are scratched shot and not coming out good anymore after restoring. I would like projectors but i don't trust myself to install a retrofit on my own As I'm not very handy. I would also prefer a 55w kit if that can be done in a 01 se? I have looked at morimoto
Kits but no easy install kits from what I can tell, answers ebay projectors look cheesy in pictures although I haven't seen them in a frontier in person. Also would a plug and play hid kit require a relay harness or anything special to work on the truck? Any info helps, and send pics of your setups my way am doing lmk what they are thanks.

What year truck? The Retrofit Source has several easy install kits. The easy install kits are the ones where the projectors are threaded type. Basically, you're going to need to cook your headlight assemblies in order to take them apart, once apart, the projector will fit in from the front, will use an H4/H7 adapter to align it, and will be held in place with a nut threaded on from the back of the headlight assembly. Then its a matter of installing the bulb and wiring up the wiring harness to your factory bulb wiring. The difficult part is just baking the light and then making sure the projectors are level before sealing up the light again. If your assemblies are in bad shape, you may need to get a new pair. This would allow you to work on them when you have time as opposed to using your current ones and trying to get it all done quickly if the truck is your only mode of transportation. Either way, there are tons of Youtube videos that can help you out.

Good luck.

HID setup in stock without projectors would just be the HID bulbs, which whatever base your current bulb uses, and the ballasts to power them. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS SETUP AS IT WILL CREATE TOO MUCH GLARE FOR ONCOMING DRIVERS.

Go here, http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/UltraHIDKit and then choose your wattage, bulb, and color. This kit would power up using your stock wiring. I would get a relay wire harness.
