Well, the rules say posting here will unlock access to the rest of the forum...but doesn't seem to work for me. Surely I am doing something incorrectly.
So, the reason I'm here is because I have a QR25DE Frontier with a blown headgasket. We are either going to swap the engine out, or replace the headgasket...with only 60k on the engine, we're leaning toward the latter, but want to secure all our options.
first, are all the QR25DE's compatible? I do not have access to a lot of Frontier engines in my area, but there's literally a pile of wrecked Altimas at the local yard.
Second, if we just replace the headgasket, will the gasket kit and setup from any QR25DE fit? looking around I see lots of kits for Altimas and SER Sentras, but not many Frontiers.
Guidance would be appreciated.
