Hey Everyone! Just purchased my 2016 Frontier SV 4x4 Quad Cab just a few months ago. Loving the truck. I came from a 2014 Ram 1500 Hemi. As much as I loved the full size, I just needed a cheaper. slightly better in fuel efficiency truck...but something to still pull my boat. Long story short, I had a 2012 Pathfinder, been missing that truck and the interior (like the frontier)...And glad to get back in a Nissan again.

My plans are to do a small 3-4" lift, under-belly/skid plates and slightly bigger tires. I pull a 20Ft pontoon that weighs less than 3000lbs and do plan on getting a car trailer to pull my wrx so i cant go to crazy with wheels and tires.

Look forward to contributing to the community here and possibly setup some local meets/camping/outdoor activities.

Welcome to the Club. I've said it many times, I'll say it again - if your are planning on towing a lot (which it sounds like you will be), them look into getting airbags (especially with a lift). The mileage on these 4.0l motors is pretty pathetic when towing, I'd be curious how it compares to your Hemi.

No sagging with the RAM or the Fronty. I have a 2" raise to keep the trailer and truck both level. Ram averaged 10.5mpg at 65~ mph. The pontoon is like a kite....it holds a lot of wind. Over a few pulls with the Frontier, I've averaged 15mpg. Havent done any super long trips yet.... this next spring will be a big pulling season with it.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Damn, how did you get 15 mpg towing? I can barely get that on an unloaded truck!
Ill be doing some more testing this spring when the weather breaks. We have a WaWa station which just installed non-ethanol 89 Octane. So ill be switching to that come spring to see if i can meet a standard for MPG and get a good comparison for towing mpg. currently run 92-93 oct with E10. But out of the 2 tanks i did pulling this season, i averaged 15. unloaded im 18.5 (commuting to and from work)

I really wish these trucks would get a diesel option. My 05 Dodge 3500 never got below 11.5 towing 16,000lbs (and that was with a soybean bio-diesel blend) yet my buddy's Tahoe got less towing a pontoon boat. He now has a GMC with a Duramax ;)
