Is there any special trick to get the burgers off? I already broke one tab trying, and I dont want to break any more.

Front or rear?

The front is easy once you remove the grill, the rear is another story.

Heat and slowly move around it with a flathead screw driver. If you do it all from one area it will snap in half but if you slowly work small areas it comes right off.

I am working on the front for now, I can't imagine the grill needing to come off, does it? The tabs seem really stiff and brittle on it. I forced one tab and as soon as it cleard the catch, it snapped. Ill keep those tips in mind for the gate burger, thanks Dev.

it is easier with the grill off unless you've got a really skinny arm.

I can remove the front burger from any grill with the hood closed.
Stick one finger through the grill on each side of the emblem, push the tabs inward -> <-, and it will come right off. If this doesnt work open the hood and stick a mirror in there. I cant imagine it being different on an 09, but this is how its done on an 05.

Just stick your arm in the gap between the grille and radiator. I felt around it first to see how many tabs are on there. Slightly squeeze the left and right tabs and it comes off. Don't push down on the top tabs, I accidentally did that and bent the top one after the 3rd time taking the burger off. New burger only runs $17 anyway. Or you can do it underneath for those too lazy to pop the hood open, lol. Fit your arm in the gap between the valance and bumper and squeeze the left and right tabs.
