I wouldn't run it any more (distance) than you have to, but you should be fine.
Think of all those donut (undersized) spares a lot of sedans etc. utilize, right?
Also, I would not engage four wheel drive while the tires are mismatched in size.

yes it is ok i run about 15 miles with diff. size wheels and tires a 19" to a 17" wheel. just dont run it for a long time like that.

Go for it, I wouldn't hesitate, again for short distances only.

I'll be in the opposite position if I ever need my spare some day.
I'm running 265/75-16 on four corners with a 265/70-16 hanging under the truck.

Best way is have the diffrent sizes on the diff that is not being used. In your case if your not using 4x4, you should have them in the front.

Like others said, because we have an open diff, it shouldnt cause any problems as long as you stay in 2x4. ( open diffs have one wheel spinning faster then the other one, all the time)
